W.I.T. - Willing, Imagination & Trust

These are the three necessary requirements for a successful session.  I coined this acronym while studying for my certified hypnotherapy exam.

Willing:

The client who desires the hypnotic session will be open to this modality.  In order for hypnotherapy to work, both client and therapist need to trust the process.

Imagination:

In order for the client to reach his/her goals they must be open to verbal suggestion provided by the therapist that will allow him/her to use their imagination to apply visualization and sensory techniques for a successful session.  Having an open mind is key.

Trust:

There must be a good level of respect, safety and professionalism between the client and the hypnotherapist.  This is accomplished through a 1-2 hour pre-talk where information is gathered from you to reach your personal goals.
